A Regional Account Manager with FindMyCompany is responsible for generating leads, closing new accounts, and managing active accounts. Because the position includes both upfront sales and ongoing management, the commission rate is higher than with close-and-move-on type sales positions. Additionally, Account Managers are compensated their full commission rate for campaign renewals (every six months or annually).

Day-to-day job duties of a Regional Account Manager include maintaining regular communication with clients, fostering client satisfaction, promoting account retention, and working closely with FMC administrators to ensure all account activities are completed on schedule.

Additional Duties

-Monitor your roster of accounts and respond quickly to individual client inquiries
-Schedule meetings with existing/potential clients to ensure satisfaction and generate new sales (meetings may take place in-person, over phone conference, or via online meeting)
-Collaborate with FMC team members to propose campaigns that will meet client needs and fit within given budget
-Learn and deliver messaging consistent with FMC brand
-Keep campaigns on schedule
-Review Monthly Performance Reports with clients
-Support and communicate with clients whenever needed to ensure satisfaction and account retention (daily account support handled by telephone/email)
-Set realistic expectations for clients—SEO campaigns may take a couple months to start generating significant ranking and traffic gains
-Research details of a client’s industry and provide informed analysis when needed
-Collect website access and payment information at the start of each campaign
-Stay informed of broad Search Engine Marketing trends and be able to provide informed feedback when asked

Limited Lead Generation

-Position may include some lead generation—Account Managers also share leads generated by FMC website and other forms of advertising
-Follow-up on client referrals
-Industry networking
-Qualify new leads by phone before administrative team proceeds with SEO evaluation (budget should be confirmed before meeting is scheduled)

Desired Experience, Education, & Skills

-5+ years of client management experience combined with sales
-SEM experience a big plus
-BA degree a plus
-Speak well in person and over email
-Play well with team members
-Manage accounts over phone and email when possible to save time
-Self-motivate / multi-task
